This song is about as real as it gets for me though it is still fictionalized. I haven't written many songs that cut as close to how I feel as this one. I don't like laying my emotions totally bare and keeping the details clear. The first few lines are what I want in this world, music and a particular someone. The first few lines are on the lines of, will this happen now or in ten years time. The rest of the song is history and conjecture though, as I said, it is slightly fictionalized. I was glad to get Abercrombie Street into a song even if, in reality, it has nothing to do with the actual situation. It feels right and, for a song at least, that is all that counts.

The Painted Hearts have a sound that is like a cross between Bo Diddley and Lou Reed. One of the best bands I know. Great songs. Great sound - Konrad Lenz Konrad Lenz
The Wedded Bliss are a great band with a great songwriter/frontman in Randall Blair. His songs are honest, well crafted and touch a raw nerve. Fantastic stuff - Konrad Lenz Konrad Lenz
The Bodies, fronted by Liam McKahey from Ireland, are one of the best acts in Australia. I've seen these guys live and they're phenomenal. Liam's a first rate songwriter and this record is great. Konrad Lenz
